Arab International Journal of Library and Information studies is an Egyptian scientific journal, published by the Arab Institution for Knowledge Management (AIKM), a non-profit organization registered at the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Egypt under No. 7127/ 2021 south of Giza city.
This journal aims to publish theoretical and scientific research and studies in the library and information field, archives, and archival science in three languages, Arabic, English, and French. It focuses on numerous topics such as: information resources; libraries, information, and archives institutions; information technology; information and library patrons; history of library and information science and the role of archives; the concept and philosophy of information science; quality assessment measures in libraries, information, and archives.
The journal intends to publish scientific papers, book and theses reviews, conference reports, etc. and encourages researchers’ contributions from the library and information science sector as well as all types of libraries and information centers.
The journal has a pool of academic referees/reviewers with diverse backgrounds in the fields of libraries, information, and archives, in addition to a number of international specialized referees/reviewers worldwide. The peer-review process uses double-blind review for evaluation of all the studies, in this type of peer review, both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, vice versa to ensure that research is judged fairly and reaching the highest degree of impartiality and credibility in the judging process. It also allows the paper to be judged based on the quality of the content, rather than the reputation of the author.
